My Idea of an Organic Garden

A natural garden uses nothing artificial. It uses organic gardening methods and materials. The soil is full of life. The plants are healthy. The insect life is in balance. The vegetables grow in abundance and they taste good and are good for you. The emphasis is on health and vibrant life. It is a garden planted with seeds that you can hold in your bare hand without getting poisioned. You can sift the soil through your fingers without getting poisioned. You can pick a tomato fresh off the vine and just eat it without getting poisioned. The insects buzz around, living their own lives. The birds stop and visit. Maybe there will be a toad under the cucumber leaf. And you know, none of them get poisioned. That's the beginning of my idea of a natural, organic, garden.

Growing Your Garden

If this sounds like the kind of garden you work for each year then I hope you will be able to use some of the information presented here. I'm no expert, so please don't expect anything authoritative. I'm just going to write about what does, and doesn't work for me. Basically, I think I'll just let this website grow naturally, like I do my own organic vegetable garden.
